2. How Tasku works

Tasku is a desktop application. It has no servers of its own: it connects directly from your computer to Google. The data it uses is stored encrypted on your computer (with the operating system’s key) and in your Google account. We never receive or see any Classroom data or any data about your students.

3. Google user data Tasku accesses

When you sign in, Google shows you the exact permissions Tasku requests. This is the full list, the data each one gives access to and why Tasku needs it:

`classroom.rosters`	The student list of your classes	To show your roster, invite students by email and remove students who have left the class, when you ask for it.
`classroom.profile.emails`	Your students’ email addresses	To show each student’s email, match students imported from a spreadsheet and send each student their own grade and feedback.
`spreadsheets`	Google Sheets you choose	To import assignments and students from a sheet you pick, and to keep the grade log sheet of each class up to date. Tasku only opens the sheets you choose.
`drive.file`	Only the Drive files you upload or create with Tasku, or pick with the Google Picker	To upload teaching materials, create documents and attach files to assignments. Tasku cannot see the rest of your Drive.
`drive.appdata`	Tasku’s own hidden folder in your Drive	To store one value: the date your free trial started.
`gmail.send`	Permission to send email from your account (no access to your mailbox)	To send each student their grade and your feedback, and reminders about missing work, only when you click Publish or Send. Tasku never reads, deletes or lists your email.

4. How Tasku uses Google user data

Google user data is used only to provide the features you see in the app, and every change in Classroom, Drive, Sheets or Gmail happens because you asked for it (for example, by clicking Create, Publish, Invite or Send). Tasku does not use Google user data for advertising, does not build user profiles, does not sell it, and does not use it to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. No person at Tasku reads your Google user data.

5. How the data is stored and protected

Tasku has no servers of its own and no database in the cloud. Google user data never reaches us.
The data the app needs to work offline (your classes, assignments, submissions and grades) is stored on your computer, encrypted with your operating system’s protected storage (Windows DPAPI, the macOS Keychain or the Linux keyring), in your user folder.
Your Google sign-in tokens are stored the same way, encrypted, and are only sent to Google.
All communication with Google uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption, directly from your computer to Google’s servers.

6. How the data is shared

Tasku does not share, transfer, sell or disclose Google user data to anyone. The only recipient is Google itself, when you ask Tasku to make a change in your account, and the students you choose to email. We would only disclose information if required by law, and we have no Google user data to disclose because we never receive it.

7. Limited Use

Tasku’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Other services (no Google user data)

Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC, reseller and merchant of record): when you buy a licence, it handles payment, invoicing and taxes. To check your licence, the app sends it the licence key and a computer identifier, and receives the purchase email. See its privacy policy.
Sentry (Functional Software Inc., EU servers): only if you turn it on in Settings, the app sends technical error reports (error code, part of the app and version), with no names, emails, grades, feedback, file names or any other Google user data.
Google Drive: Tasku checks for new versions by reading a public file; none of your data is sent.

9. Student data and children

Tasku is used only by teachers. Students do not install or use Tasku, and Tasku does not collect any information directly from students or children. The teacher or school is the controller of their students’ data in Google Classroom; Tasku is a tool the teacher runs on their own computer and does not send that data to any server of ours or of third parties (other than Google itself and the email the teacher sends to each student).

10. Retention and deletion

Local data is kept on your computer until you delete it. Removing a class from Tasku deletes its local data; uninstalling Tasku and deleting its folder removes everything.
You can revoke Tasku’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After that, Tasku can no longer access any of your Google data.
Changes Tasku made at your request (assignments, grades, files, sheets, emails sent) stay in your Google account, where you can manage them as usual.
Purchase data is kept by Lemon Squeezy as required by tax law. To ask for deletion of any data related to you, write to tasku.soporte@gmail.com.

11. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to tasku.soporte@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

If this policy changes, we will update this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
